I expecting it to be a little bigger .. and maybe fill out a little more ... But still worth the buck.. It has no problem lighting up my entire room and the adjustable brightness is a plus too

Easy to use

Love it and its ease of use. It’s pretty easy to connect, just plug it in and download the app. The app provides a step by step showing you how to connect and the controls were easy to figure out with a bit of experimenting. So a super simple set up. It’s also not bulky or heavy.

The app is user friendly and provides ways to tailor your rest/rise modes as well as a variety of colored lights to sleep/wake to. You can also schedule it to specific days

app won't connect

I've tried several times now and cannot get the app to connect to my clock . extremely frustrating. I can still control the clock on the buttons itself but can't access many of the apps features.

From a non-tech expert perspective -

It's great that you can manage it with an app and Alexa. Setting it up for my daughter's dorm, I noticed it has a lot of buttons – some are touch-sensitive. The white-on-white can be tough to see, but maybe that's just my eyesight! It's a bit odd that the alarm switch is on the back, but using the phone app is easier than reaching out half-asleep and risking a dresser tumble!

The sunrise feature is truly a highlight – quite astonishing when it matches the actual sunrise. Hard to believe we once relied on the awful beep of an alarm.

The speaker clarity is impressive and bluetooth music sounds great. It also does nature sounds like birds and beach waves (our favorites, and they loop seamlessly!). Note that it's not super loud, but hey, it's an alarm clock. We struggled to tune in some FM stations, but that's a minor issue compared to the overall features.

The inverted doughnut design is unique, and it tries to make the display more visible, although it's best seen from above. You could always ask Alexa for the time – she's reliable! The variety of colors is almost overwhelming, but they're fun to play with.

The app setup took a few attempts, maybe due to the dorm's multiple devices. If this happens, keep trying – it worked for us on the third go.

With a USB outlet on the back for phone charging, it's convenient and reduces outlet clutter.

Overall, this is a great alarm clock. It's a treat for those comfortable with gadgets, and perhaps not the ideal choice for the less tech-inclined. A thoughtful graduation gift or for someone stepping into adult life. Hope this helps you decide – take care, everyone.
